Region Parliamentarian

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review Region Bylaws and Chapter Bylaws (upon request) to ensure compliance with National Bylaws.

  • Work closely with National Vice President of Parliamentary Procedures.

  • Prepare written by-law changes and distribute to National Delegates and Region Officers at least 60 days prior to Region Board meetings.

  • Prepare and distribute up-to-date copy of Region Bylaws as needed.
  • Support and promote the NPMA Strategic Plan.

  • Serve as a “monitor” at Region Board Meeting to ensure by-laws are followed and the meeting is conducted in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order.   In the absence of the Parliamentarian, the Region Vice President will appoint, from the attending Delegates, an alternate to serve as the“monitor” for the Region Board Meeting.
